American Veteran Magazine is published by AMVETS – a volunteer-led organization formed by World War II veterans which accepts honorably discharged veterans as members. The organization contains over 1,300 posts and has 220,000 members between the 180,000 veterans and the 40,000 Ladies Auxiliary members. The readers of American Veteran Magazine are active in their communities and dedicated to issues that affect military members, both active and retired. They also enjoy traveling and have the time and money to pursue their hobbies and other interests.
