Pilots had been trained in the basic and primary phase of flying, returned for instructor training or had gone through combat crew training. From 1967-1971, 1,269 pilots earned their wings at Randolph.Randolph is headquarters of the U. S. Air Force's Air Education and Training command and is home to the 12th Flying Training Wing the 19th Air Force, the Air Force Personnel Center, the Recruiting Service headquarters, the Air Force Services Agency, and Air Force Management Engineering Agency. One of Randolph's most distinguished features is its "Taj Majal". The "Taj" is one of the Air Force's major landmarks; inside are displays about the history of aviation.The authorized newspaper is the Randolph Wingspread for Randolph Air Force Base with a circulation of 12,800.
